How to get the manual

The manual is rank 6 and survives 30 uses; every crafting attempt spends one use.

• Gilmore: general shop owner in Bangor, sells them at his counter (76,500 gold).

Materials

Expect about 6 attempts per finished item (18% average progress per attempt). Per-attempt materials are consumed on every attempt; finishing materials once per item.

Each attempt uses

• 7× Iron Ingot — refine from Iron Ore (common low-rank Refining output)
• 4× Silver Ingot — refine from silver ore. Mine it in Barri Dungeon or north of Tory Ravine
• 9× Mythril Ingot — refine from mythril ore. Barri Mythril Mine/Advanced, or L-Rod ore deposits

Finishing (once per item)

• 1× Giant Broken Emblem — advanced Uladh dungeon reward (also hard/elite shadow missions)
• 4× Fine Leather — fragmentation of Fine Leather Strap (or weaving byproduct)
• 2× Large Nail — hit props (lamp posts, signs, statues) or common low-level monster drops
• 2× Braid — low-rank Weaving skill output
