The manual is rank A and survives 30 uses; every crafting attempt spends one use.

Materials
Expect about 5 attempts per finished item (22% average progress per attempt). Per-attempt materials are consumed on every attempt; finishing materials once per item.
Each attempt uses
2× Iron Ingot — refine from Iron Ore (common low-rank Refining output)
3× Copper Ingot — refine from copper ore
Finishing (once per item)
1× Common Leather — low-rank Weaving skill output
2× Thin Thread Ball — Hot-Air Ballooning reward (6-10 stars) or gift from Simon
