How to get the manual
The manual is rank 9 and survives 30 uses; every crafting attempt spends one use.
Fishing Boat: fish up treasure chests from the moored boat south of Rano. Equip the Aspiring Sailor title, earned by riding inter-port ships 10 times, then ask Myrddin aboard.
Materials
Expect about 5 attempts per finished item (22% average progress per attempt). Per-attempt materials are consumed on every attempt; finishing materials once per item.
Each attempt uses
2× Iron Ingot — refine from Iron Ore (common low-rank Refining output)
4× Fine Leather Strap — weaving rank 6 on a spinning wheel
3× Braid — low-rank Weaving skill output
Finishing (once per item)
3× Fine Leather — fragmentation of Fine Leather Strap (or weaving byproduct)
