The manual is rank 8 and survives 30 uses; every crafting attempt spends one use.
Brown Bear: common field monster near Dugald Aisle and Sen Mag Plateau.
Red Bear: common field bear (Dugald Aisle, Dunbarton, and other fields). Drops the Furnace - Gold Ingot manual.
Brown Grizzly Bear Cub: field monster (weakest of the grizzly line) near Dunbarton, Gairech Hills, and Sen Mag.
Brown Grizzly Bear: field monster near Dunbarton, Gairech Hills, and Sen Mag.
Red Grizzly Bear Cub: field monster near Dunbarton, Gairech Hills, and Sen Mag.
Black Grizzly Bear: field monster around Gairech Hills, Dunbarton, Sen Mag, and Tara.
Materials
Expect about 5 attempts per finished item (20% average progress per attempt). Per-attempt materials are consumed on every attempt; finishing materials once per item.
Each attempt uses
4× Iron Ingot — refine from Iron Ore (common low-rank Refining output)
2× Fine Leather Strap — weaving rank 6 on a spinning wheel
